Zero (as in “naught” and “nada”) was allocated to fixing Knysna Central’s (Ward 10) sidewalks this financial year! Why do we never see these over-sized trucks being fined for illegal parking and crushing pavements? Why is there not a by-law that also fines Pick’s Pay, Checkers, Walmart etc., some of the richest companies, for these infringements? Why is DA Councillor Richard Dawson not fighting harder for us and explaining why the centre of our town, which we all use along with tourists, is allowed to crumble?
