The Democratic Alliance (DA) must be crying in many ways. They lost Bitou Municipality, what most still call Plettenberg Bay, by only 21 votes. The Active United Front (AUF) must be smiling. Initially, the DA looked to be the winners. After all, they had won 1427 more votes than the ANC. Like Knysna, their nearest neighbour, they also falsely announced the win. The woman involved in the sexting scandal involving Memory Booysen, the DA Mayor of Bitou Municipality (Plettenberg Bay), has told her side of the story.
