Is the Knysna-Plett Herald Dying?

Is the Knysna-Plett Herald a sign of the times? Is it dying? Last i knew of, their distribution was down to 4300 copies. And, when i walk by coffee shops on Thursdays, far less men and women have it spread before them as the start to their day. They won’t tackle many serious issues lest they anger big advertisers such as Knysna Municipality, the political parties and Knysna Tourism. This isn’t, primarily, about the immorality of that collusion.

One of the saddest examples of Knysna’s degradation and small business closure was visiting the old Crabs Creek a few weeks ago. Sad not only because it’s synonymous with decay but because of memories of the good times i had there with beer, rib racks and friends.
