THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HOLIDAYED IN KNYSNA THIS SEASON!

Ours is a tourist-based economy. Your interest and pleasure in our town decides our health. Our small businesses and waitrons only have a few short weeks every year to back-pay debt or save for the lean months. That filters down to paying school fees, rent in advance etc.

This was a good season! Many restaurants and bars overflowed with your fun.

I hope that you will come back again, for longer periods (yes, please), and learn more about our town. Enjoy the full offer of forest walks to waterfalls, picnics in visually stunning areas such as Kranshoek, a culture tour in the Rasta village of Judah Square, tanning on some of the prettier, smaller beaches that many never see etc. There is a whole new world to explore if you look for it.

Next up will be February’s Sundowners Celtic & Bluegrass Concert, March’s Knysna Literary Festival (meet your favourite authors), April’s Pink Loerie Festival (a gay time everyone can enjoy), and July’s Knysna Oyster Festival.
