Tourism Backlash #3: Cops Say Hi Again
My neighbour told me that the Knysna SAPS were looking for me at home 2 nights ago. The next morning, i sent an email to Constable Chris Spies, their media liaison officer, saying that:
“An SAPS detective was apparently looking for me at 8.40pm last night, July 9 2014. Please supply me his name and tell me what it is in connection with.
The Knysna SAPS know my cell number and are always welcome to call.
Thank you.”
To his credit, he passed it on to Constable van Niekerk who called me the same morning and met me 10 minutes later at L’Opera restaurant in Knysna Mall. He was accompanied by Constable Gwane.
Greg Vogt had laid a charge of crimen inuria against me. Wikipedia defines “crimen injuria” as a crime under South African common law, defined to be the act of “unlawfully, intentionally and seriously impairing the dignity of another.” Although difficult to precisely define, the crime is used in the prosecution of certain instances of road rage, stalking, racially offensive language, emotional or psychological abuse and sexual offences against children.
It is the same crime i’ve charged Mark Allan with (a case that i really need to pursue to close – how can the “justice system” have “justice” in it if the amount of money you have determines one’s access to it?). Ironically, Mark Allan accused me of subterfuge dealings with Vogt – politics is ridiculous but none the less dangerous.
Greg Vogt has also laid a charge of harassment against me but that will be dealt with by a different policeman (which seems a waste of resources). When Constable Gwane realised who his partner was investigating, his eyes lit up because he said he had a docket involving me too and ran back to the car to retrieve it. It turned out that it was Magda Moos charge of crimen injuria against me – what i’d previously reported to you was only the harassment charge (again, waste of resources).
Like Moos, Vogt has brought his family into it, claiming that i’ve calculated harm against his family. That is untrue and simply an attempt at a low blow which further enforces my opinion that he is unfit for the office of CEO of Knysna Tourism and that he is a bad father. I’ve only had pleasant encounters with his wife and have no association with his 13-year old daughter. I will never mention his daughter’s name on this blog and i will withhold his wife’s unless legalities demand it. He is undergoing a divorce – i’m not the cause of it.
This is all about him hanging onto a job that he should not have been given! And how is Greg Vogt going to have time to do that job when he’s involved in these court cases and more?
It’s notable that the Knysna SAPS have given excellent service to Greg Vogt and Magda Moos. I do not receive the same service which must mean that all citizens are not equal under the eyes of Knysna Law. However, these 2 constables were polite and professional, deserving compliment – thank you for that.
Yesterday afternoon, approximately 5hrs after i’ve received the charges, i was drinking a beer whilst composing a blog at Knysna Arms in Pledge Square. Vogt walks in and makes a point of greeting me and saying goodbye to me. No, i do not consider that friendly. As i’ve said to his lawyer and on this blog, i seek no communication with him except in court.
5 charges against me currently. I could look at that negatively in several aspects but the positive is that striking nerves also means that i’m doing something right. I have to hope that the prosecutor doesn’t throw these out but grants me the opportunity to get into court and start putting my evidence against our politicians and municipal staff on record. If i get that, i’d better hope for a good lawyer too.
Were the cops overweight (even if professional)? Blog to follow.
Coincidentally, i did take a photo of an expressly overweight traffic officer this week. Will post soon enough.
