Voter Frustration: SA, our country without a plan… again!
“I constantly make the observation that no-one has a plan.
EFF
Well the EFF has a plan, to take all the land, all the houses, all the businesses and make it all owned by them to be leased back to you at a nice nest feathering price.
DA
The DA has plan, they want to run the country as a developers delight where the land is there to be utilized (read their environmental policies), and then they can charge and charge to their little heart’s delight because imagine all the taxes and service fees they can charge? I’m not sure what the plan for anyone else is, because their plans consist solely of moaning about the ANC, they would disappear into an existential black hole if the ANC went, their entire raison d’etre gone in a flash.
BOERE REPUBLIEK
The Boere would retreat to their own republic waar hulle sal net suiwer Afrikaans praat en mooi gediggies van Totius en N.P Van Wyk Louw geniet. Dus die plan van hulle harte, gefluister in die donker.
CAPE PARTY
The Cape Party want to secede, and build a very high wall to keep the riff-raff out. If you live in the Cape, and think it so fine, join them and vote to keep your beaches so white.
And the Good party just doesn’t have the goods, they do have Aunty De Lille who hates the DA because they kicked her out, I wonder if she still profits from the water meters affair? So far the only thing they seem good at doing, is moaning about what the DA didn’t do right, to be fair this is a necessary thing, but hardly a plan to run the whole plot.
ZACP
The ZACP has a plan, well sort of, they have 10 leaders and 10 points and 10 reasons, they need a few more but it is snappy and quite sweet, really and truly, that they think this enough, but when you eliminate the repetition, and look real close their plan devolves down to less than 1.
WHO DO WE VOTE FOR?
My standards are high. Lack of standards is part of the problem, we require so damn little of anyone any more.
Accountability is having standards. Demanding that education means something beyond a 30% pass rate is having a standard. Demanding that people are qualified to do their job is having a standard. Demanding that the corrupt are sought out, investigated, and removed from public office is having a standard. Insisting that the lights stay on at a reasonable economy boosting price is having a standard. Requiring that municipalities handle their finances and deliver the services for which they are paid is having a standard. Requiring that people are treated with dignity and respect even when they are poor is having a standard.
I like my standards and I’m going to stick with them!
So, poor South Africa, who to vote for? Everyone is tired of the status quo, the corruption, the promises to clean the houses of parliament, and the unending saga with Eskom. It doesn’t take much to realise that BEE is just racism and AA affirms that the unqualified are guaranteed a position. And that these policies have directly led to the unqualified mess the country is in.
NO PLAN
No plan, no plan, no plan will be the undoing of us all.
So where is the Man With A Plan? Will anyone step up? Is there no-one at all in all the land, who can make a plan to make our nation work?”
That was a comment by Jacy Seeker on my FB page. The frustration of who to believe was so real, I reckoned you would relate.
