Walk the Talk
Knysna is in trouble. Many of you were already suffering but the Recession has made it far worse. The cracks in our town are showing; empty shops, more beggars and the weight of depression that so many wear on their faces. During our period of need, the politicians have turned their backs on us. They don’t address important topics such as unemployment, food prices, homes being auctioned, crime and drugs. BUT they still earn their big salaries. Instead of getting angry, people have too often given into despair, some becoming isolated. Others point fingers of blame in the wrong directions.
A primary reason why i started the Knysna KEEP was to seek truth in Knysna. Over the past year, i have written much about problems that the municipality and politicians will not talk about. I have criticized our “leaders” for using lies and fears to win elections. I’ve pursued getting Knysna online but accept that many do not have internet. Consequently, i’ve made mp3s and CDs which i hope you will copy and share with as many people as possible. They are called THE TRUTH TALKS (WALK THE TALK) (click the link and it’ll take you to the first one).
You don’t have to agree with me but it’s very important in these tough times that you listen to different perspectives, educating yourself before making make your own mind up. THINK FOR YOURSELF! Do not let political parties think for you. Always remember, if elected, they work for you. DON’T STOP QUESTIONING!
I’d welcome any politician wanting to change my opinion. Give me action and i’ll applaud you. I would rather have you work with us, the public, than against us. Stop the ANC versus DA and DA versus ANC blame game! That doesn’t help us! Start working together. You only have a chance at solving problems if you acknowledge them.
Knysna needs a common vision and interaction. Knysna needs good neighbours. Knysna needs a future! She’s worth fighting for. We are worth fighting for!
