Hi, all.

Wanted you to know that i’m still around. Been working hard but the irony in catching up on politics, legal matters and other issues is that my to-do list has grown longer. At least i’m getting better organised. So, for the most part, i’ll keep hammering away at that instead of being more visible online.

Thanks to 3 generous people, i’ve been able to hold some meetings, put food in the cupboard, and pay electricity for the next 3 months – THANK YOU.

Unfortunately, there are more bad people than good people. Because we, as a town and a country, haven’t stood up to them, they’ve multiplied… and will continue to grow, feeding on us during harder times coming.

I can’t make decisions for others but i can choose to fight like hell.

I’ve got a large legal matter to deal with for my father (who worked damn hard in a factory for 50 years only to get screwed out of part of his retirement by monsters without morals). I have to prepare a document for his new lawyers.

On Friday, my latest court appearance was postponed until next month.

Parliament, because of the strike, is playing catch-up too. My presentation has been moved to February 10. Nearer the time, I will inform you on all who are supposed to attend.

Life will remain challenging, especially since most, if not all, of Knysna’s questionable politicians are trying to get reelected. Of course, neither the DA, ANC, COPE or new ICOSA are willing to answer real questions about our town… they’re just skipping that part which maintains my belief that they’re in it for themselves, not us. Without those salaries and protection from faraway big shots, there’s no difference between them and us… and they know it.

In particular, there’s an evil member of the Knysna Mayoral Committee (MAYCO) who i consider to be the main conduit for all the DA’s court cases against me. Even if i eventually quit everything, that politician will be the exception. Even if it takes a decade, i intend making that person pay everything back to our town and go to jail. I’m prolific. I hope that person realises how powerful that will be when i eventually focus on them. They do not intimidate me. Every obstacle placed before me means that, legally, payback will be bigger. If anything, they’ve made me stronger. I have patience which is why i’ve yet to launch all my cases (which will be many). I want those cases to be the best they can be.

There’s a war for power in our country which is why small towns are just pawn’s on the DA’s and ANC’s chess board. They don’t care about us (and some hate me because i’m trying to have them removed).

The DA and ANC will remain rotten in Knysna but at least let that rot begin anew rather than get consolidated by those currently in power. The longer they’re in power, the more danger their ego’s are to us. It’s even possible that if we keep replacing them we’ll eventually find someone who puts us first.

Candidate councillors chosen in secret by big parties is not democracy.

Councillors who don’t sign commitment forms to us, allowing them to be fired, do not believe in public service.

It’s a real problem that when we vote we’re not voting for the person whose supposed to represent us but instead for the colours of a political party. That awkward senselessness narrows the light in our future.

Particularly scummy, self-serving and public-hating are those smaller political parties who get people to vote for them and then make allegiances with the DA and ANC so that they may as well be the same party. They are betrayers. Name them for what they are.

We need change. We need to wake up before we’ve got less to fight for.
