To find your voting station, visit http://maps.elections.org.za/vsfinder and type “Knysna” into the search bar. Then click on the area you live in. If you’re like me, for example, who lives in Ward 10 which is mostly Central Knysna, then you’d head to Knysna Primary School.
Failing that, you can also apply for registration at the Knysna Municipality during office hours, but please phone first to make an appointment.
- be a South African citizen;
- be at least 16 years old (you can only vote from age 18); and
- have a green, bar-coded ID book, ID smartcard or Temporary Identity Certificate (TIC).
It will take up to a week for your details to be logged. Check that you are registered by sending an SMS with your ID number to 32810 or by checking your voter registration details online.
We need more responsible leaders to be elected in Knysna!
